Elizabeth Theresia Walsh!

Welcome to our family Elizabeth Theresia Walsh!!!!!!

Yes Little Lizzie was born Wednesday August 20th at 8:39 AM. She weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz. and was 20 inches long. She has long dark brown hair! Lots of it!

I went into labor Tuesday night late. It came on VERY fast. I timed them at 4 min and then when I timed them correctly 2 1/2 min. And So we drove to the hospital and I received my epidural. I had to wait for a little bit but I eventually got it. I was able to sleep for a while till they came in and checked me at about 7 am. I was dilated all the way and ready to push! So push I did. I nearly pushed my brains out! I was told that pushing usually takes an hour and I was ready in 30! I had to stop and wait through some contractions till the doctor could make it! I did have some tearing so the doctor had to suture that up. But then family got to come in and meet lizzie. Some of the family thought I would take longer then I did too so they got here a little bit late! But I got to see everybody.

I got moved around and got some rest, and got to see lots of people. So I recuperated all Wednesday, got checked Thursday and went home Thursday afternoon. Thursday night there was a parents meeting for Caleb's school. Eric and I went to that. We had a fine first night. And then Friday we had to go and get immunizations for Caleb so he COULD go to school on Monday. That night there was a meet the teacher so we took Caleb and he got to see his class and play with some of the toys. he really enjoyed that! So he starts school on Monday! How exciting!!!

Lizzie is good. She is a little jaundiced but not enough to be worried about. She had her follow up billiruben appt this morning. She has a weird eating schedule. At the hospital it was 2 hours very constant. Here she might sleep for 3 and then eat if she is being held she can sleep for 4 and then eat. And then yesterday night she ate like every 45 min for a while. It was confusing. But she knows what she needs I guess. I try to wake up the poor girl for some sort of consistency but she will not wake up! It is like I am holding a piece of wet limp cardboard!

I am sore and having contractions that are NOT fun. But I guess I will live. My milk is coming in and that adds to the soreness. Breastfeeding is going fine. I am sure it will get better. I still cannot sit down for very long or in certain positions. And walking is still slow. but I am getting better.

I think what kicked the labor into gear was, one Dad put my name on the prayer roll at the temple, and 2 I went school shopping for Caleb. It was like 4 hours of walking and standing! But I got everything and found some cheap clothes too! And I got to have a natural delivery!

Yipee! I've been waiting for the blog update! Thanks for calling me though. The suspense all week long would have killed me. I can't believe you went out two nights in a row right after she was born! You be careful or you're going to wear yourself out! I anxiously look forward to as many updates as you can handle!! All our love!!

Congradulations!!!! She is beautiful. I agree with michelle. Be careful in doing too much. We moved after Freemen was only 10 days old and it sent me to the emergency room. NOT fun. Caleb looks like he's having fun going to school. What a cute little family!
