First day of school!!!!

This is a picture of my hair if you can see it.

Caleb had his first day of school today! Pre-k that is only half a day, 8-11. And they have breakfast instead of lunch or a snack. He had a good first day. The teacher said he had a hard time listening and following directions but he was overall good. I can believe it! We have been working hard to get him to listen and follow directions so maybe today was just first day trials. He gave us a hug and then immediately went to go play. No crying or anything. No crying from us either. We were excited to see him excited.

Now lizzie is doing well. She is still a little jaundice but she is at low risk so she needs just a little more time to filter it out. She has gained an ounce from her original weight, and that makes about 5 ounces since the typical weight loss right after birth.

I went to church yesterday. Everybody was amazed that I was there. It was only 5 days since I gave birth. But I made it through. I was a little sore. And lizzie slept through pretty much the whole thing. She did wake up for the last speaker in sacrament meeting. So I changed her and fed her pretty much till church was over and then we went home. We have sacrament meeting last, which I don't care for particularly. The sisters have been nice to us and have brought good food. And I am feeling much better. I was having pelvic pain like I was out of whack, but I think that has mostly worked itself out. I am so glad for that! It is really hard to get dressed when you can't lift your foot but 4 inches off the ground. My contractions have finally calmed down a lot. they started to calm down after some clots came out. I guess they're called clots. My milk seems to be regulating itself. And I do not mind too much the getting up in the middle of the night. I usually get one good nap in the middle of the day and that seems to ease my interrupted nights. I think I can begin lifting things like laundry baskets full of clothes tomorrow. I need to get some laundry done!
