Busy week

Next week is supposed to be pretty busy. This past week we got the hole concreted over. One of them anyway. We still have to do the one in the bathroom. But we are progressing. Most of the living room is clean and organized now. It has been vacuumed for the first time in a long while with all the carpets and boxes and stuff out of here. Can you guess what is going on tonight? End of the month, last minute huge cleaning spree? Yeah you guessed it... Home Teachers!
I do love when the home teachers come because my house gets a good cleaning. I am still pretty bad with the daily cleaning thing. I am trying to work on that.
Next week... I have a doctors appointment on monday. Monday night we are having aq scripture party for reaching the middle of Alma. We usually do at the end of eaqch book with some of the smaller ones combined, but Alma is soooo long we cut it in half. WQe are going to go see Wall E. Caleb has been dying to see it. He loves robots and movies and cartoons and snacks. So this is like a quadruple treat to him. Tuesday we are going to decorate our wagon and bike for the 4th of July. wednesday we have a church play date. Thursday we have another play date with some kids from church. We tried to get together last week but the kids got sick so we are doing it this week. Friday we are going to the parade in the morning and then to the local fireworks display at night. Before the display starts they have some free actiities and some bounce houses and stuff. I think Caleb will enjoy that very much. Saturday will probably just be a recuperation day!

Thursday, June 26

I now have a dishwasher and a washer and dryer. And the laundry room is mostly painted. I only have a little trim work to finish. But now that I have all these appliances I have to use them so I have a good schedule down. I do one load of laundry a day. I take my time with it, no rushing but no leaving it in the dryer. When it is done I take it and fold and put it away. And then before I go to bed I put the dishes in the dishwasher and do a load. Then I put them away the next morning. Wow so exciting right?

Just getting things done. Trying to get the house ready for company in July. Mom was able to get out of the country. She had a hard time with expired passports and a broken oven the day before they left, and some other troubles. She did not get the house totally clean and is paying me to go clean it before the company comes.

No problems with the pregnancy yet. I am making a little layette set for Elizabeth to wear on her blessing day. I think I can get it done. I have most of the little jacket done already. I also am going to make a little nursing cover blanket. Reversible, one purple the other blue, and then some lace at the bottom for trim. I hope I can do it. I don't have a pattern but I am going to copy the pattern from the one in the store I saw. They were expensive so I thought I would try to make one better then the one in the store. More customized that way.

I am going to a recipe exchange tonight. I am making a 4th of july creation from my favorite magazine Family Fun! and then a little silverware holder thing from the same magazine. They look so cute.

Work day

Today has been designated a work day. I have already cleaned out a little of the tv room, the kitchen and, spent a lot of time in Calebs room. He has just too many toys. He never keeps them put away which is partly my fault. And he still has five boxes of toys that have not been unpacked yet. So I went through and took out some of the younger toys. I saved most of them for Elizabeth. And then I threw away some loose toys, some cheap toys, some broken toys, some that are missing peices and such. I hope we can keep it clean now. I still have to tackle the other half of his room. But that is mostly clothes. I do not know what to do with his clothes. His dresser is breaking and we were going to move Elizabeth into it anyway. It goes with the crib and changing table. So now for Caleb, I have these four shelves in a cabinet that have been built into his room. They are awful and not at all efficient. The clothes keep falling out and he pulls some out when he looks for an outfit to wear. So We are going to clean his room right up and then spend fifteen minutes every night keeping it clean. Because my new motto is.... you can do anything for 15 minutes.

Good and Bad!

The weekend was good and BAD at the same time! Friday we went to corsicana to get a load of stuff. We packed and loaded the trailer friday and saturday. It took a long time on Saturday because we did lots of extra things like burn some trash, weed wack the yard for a path to walk, and we didn't start till afternoon so the heat was not so bad. It was still bad but not so bad. Then we left late Saturday night to go home so we could go to church the next day. We woke up normal time and started getting ready. At this point I had forgotten it was Fathers Day. Sorry Guys! I didn't remember till I got to church and saw some kid wish his father happy Fathers day. Anyway I got breakfast for Caleb and I. I woke up Eric and he said he was not feeling well. He probably dehydrated himself saturday. He soaked three towels with all his sweat from packing in the heat. So I brought him some water (does that count as breakfast in bed??? LOL j/k) Then I went to get Caleb dressed and I couldn't find his one sunday shoe. He took them both off last week in his room. I found one and not the other. I checked under everything three times! I then found some shoes that would work, not well but what could I do. Then I tried to get the trailer off the van so I could go. I could not get the trailer off the hitch. I went inside and I was frustrated. So I just took the car and I had to have Eric put in some gas so we could make it and back. Then I droe off. I was really late for church, but oh well. So then The first two hours of church were fine. Then came Sacrament meeting. The first part was fine but then the kids went to sing a Fathers Day song like always. Caleb went up there and did not act very well. He was whispering. and then after the first song the teaqcher told them to stay up there but Caleb did not listen came down and told the teqcher he did not sing because of stage fright. She told him to go back up and he did, but not to sing. The whole time he was walking around up and down the stairs, the stage, hanging over the banister, and then when it was over he did not come down. I had to go up and get him and he even tried to run from me. It was embarrassing. So I tried not to stomp out, which is how I was feeling at the time. Then I spent the last speaker time trying not to yell and to explain to him what he did wrong. He was sooo tired today I should have expected his behavior. So then church ended and I went home.

We had bacon, avocado, club sandwhiches for lunch it was very good! Then I got some bad news from Eric. I forgot to tell him I left the post down from trying to get the trailer off, and he drove the van trying to get to church for sacrament. So he bent the post. He couldn't come to church because he had nothing to make the trailer stand up to get the van out. Then we tried to straighten it out. Bad Idea. It would have worked in the movies I am sure. The principle was sound. But add in the human element and it failed. So the post broke off after we had decided to just park it attached to the van. Completely broke off. Gone. bye bye. Thunk to the cement! So now we have to get that fixed. Along with the bent light that happened a while ago, and the stripped tire from the trip down from Ohio, and the spare having little cracks in it from sitting on the trailer for so long, also on the trip down from Ohio. We didnt' know what to do. We were trying to leave to go to Dad's for Fathers Day. Then Jeanne and George drove up with the other van so we were saved for the mometn at least! Oh yes.... there is more to come!

We got to mom's and Dad wasn't even there. He had to make an emergency run to a Bishops house for some stake buisness or something like that. So we hung out with mom and talked to her. got the news and such. Then Dad came home and got his gift. We got him a golf ball retreiver. He loved it and the fact that it extended to 18 feet! So we just had to go try it out. We went golf abll hunting. I resally like it and it gives me exercise. I really need exercise right now. So we went and we tried it out and it worked great! We got lots of balls we would never had gotten and some that we would have had to splash through the water for. All with no fuss. So that was cool. We finished and went back to the house. We had dinner of barbecue and mashed potatoes and vegetables. Yes Mom had vegetables, I am shocked, I know!!! We all enjoyed it. Then we played some Catan. I didn't play the first game but I played and won the second. I crotcheted for the first game.

By the time we left it was really late. But we had a good time. And Mom gave us a barbecue and a lawn mower she was getting rid of. She is trying to get rid of things since her move and especially since she is doing the house exchange. So then she asked if we could store her boat at our house while she is gone. So we got that packed and ready to go and it wouldn't fit on our hitch. Then we got it to fit but we didn't have any lights. So then we decided mom would just go and drop it off with us and she wanted to see the changes to the house as well. so then we put it on and the lights were not working on her car either. So we got on the highway and there was a huge traffic jam. So we got off as soon as possible because of no working lights on the trailer. So we ended up taking the back roads and we got to our house just fine. Then mom backed up the trailer well and was almost done when we heard this Boom and felt the car fall a little to one side! We forgot to tell her and she couldn't see that the drive way was not that wide. So she drove her car off the concrete into the ditch. It is hard to explain But only one wheel was hangin off the side of the concrete. She tried to drive forward but she has front wheel drive aqnd it didn't work. So she got out and looked and she was scared that she broke her axle. But Eric said he didn't think so, it wasn't that hard of a fall. So we get out Mom's jack and there is nothing there to pump it up. So we go and get another car jack. We had then in spades! three cars and two trailers are in our drive way. it is so nice to have a round about driveway! So then we had a little bit of a hard time finding frame that was entirely on the concrete to get the car jacked up. But we got it jacked up a little bit and then jammed a board that we use at the back of the trailer under the wheel so she can use that to drive out. Then the jack broke and we couldn't get it out all of the way from the car. So we had to go get another jack and jack upthe car alittle bit more to pull out the first jack, then lower the second jack and she was able to pull out okay. No more accidents off the concrete. But she was backing around to try and pull into our driveway to get a good look at the axle and bottom of the car and stuff and her trunk lid was up where we had tried to use her jack, and she almost backed into the mail box across the street. So she looke dand it all looked okay. She didn't have a phone with her but she said she would call in about 30 minutes when she got home. If not then I should call the house and wake up dad and tell him what happened. I didn't get a call but I called the house and she was there Rachel had distracted her from calling. So then I was able to go to bed. Then an hour later Eric came in from trying to get the pictures for the tax appeal ready and printed. I told him where they were on teh dell and he asked me to get up and try and fix them. I was not very happy but I could help him by doing this so I did. I tried and tried to get it working but I could not get it working! I got half the assignment done but that was the easy part. So I worked on it for a long time. And then Eric showed up to the rescue. He worked his magic and got it working. I assume he did because he worked for a while and things looked like they were working and then he said I could go to bed. I was grateful, it was sooo early in the morning I was almost dead. Then I went to bed and I got woken up at 8 in the morning where Everybody had to leave. I just went and got Caleb some breakfast, got something small for myself and then laid down on the couch and slept while Caleb wached Cartoons. He kept waking me up with his running around and bouncing, but that is okay. So I slept for a while and then got up and made lunch for Caleb and I. I then debated going back to sleep but I got some phone calls and then I felt like I could stay awake for a while with no bad consequences.

Then this morning Mom called and said she took her car in to have it balanced and nothing was wrong with it from last night. So that was good. Then she asked my opinion on the wedding lunch she is trying to put together for Mike and Linda's wedding. She wants to go to Buca Di Beppos for dinner. It is a nice fun family place. She wanted to know what I would order for dinner with the budget she wants to have. I gave her some of my thoughts and she gave me her thoughts and we both agree that it is just a good idea. They have the family size portions so we would order a few and then all split it. It sounds sooo good right now. I love Buca's!!!!

Now Eric is home from school and we are talking. I can feel my eyes still tired and they have to really work to move and look at different things. I am going to go to bed early or take another nap soon.

Movie Night

Last Night Terry and Elizabeth invited us to go to dinner and then to an outdoor movie the school was showing for free. So she came over and picked us up to save on gas since Eric was already at school. That was soooo nice. Then we went to Souper Salad. They had some good stuff there. Caleb enjoyed their Pizza! He had like four slices! Then we went back to Terry and Elizabeths for a while. We talked and Caleb played with some of their games. Then around dusk we all got in our cars and drove down to where the movie was playing. It was a good thing that Terry thought to bring a frisbee because there were lots of kids and people there. He might have gotten out of hand if he hadn't had something to play with. Then we sat down for the movie to start. I actually got some crotcheting done before the movie started. I am making some flowers for a flower bouquet. Or I might make some sort of Headband out of them.
We watched Horton Hears a Who. Caleb liked it a lot., He actually stayed awake for the whole thing. Elizabeth fell asleep though, And I think Eric did too! I crotcheted for the first half and then I put it up for the last half. It was just too dark after the first half.
The movie ended and he ran off. We were not very happy with that! He had to go to time out. Then we came home and went to bed. I woke up this morning and I didn't feel bad but I didn't fell good either. I never feel good in the mornings! I am thoroughly tired of it!

I got a bill from the doctors office for some services. I am not going to pay them because they should have been covered by my insurance. I am not sure why they were not. I do not have the money to pay them. I am scared though that if I do not pay them I am going to have to find another doctor. It would be disastrous trying to find a doctor now. I guess I am just going to ignore them for now.

HOT WATER!!!

No, no one is in hot water! We finally have hot water in the house! We have been trying to find the leak since we moved in, now we found part of the pipe just not the leak and decided to bypass the whole pipe. To find the leak we would have had to take up the carpet taken out the heater and the water heater and dug up the whole hallway. That was NOT a good idea. The foundation would have been in Shambles leading to MORE problems later on! So now we have hot water no leaks in 24 hours, and we will get to put the floor back sometime. Soon I hope!

I took Caleb to a park with a water section in it. He loved it! He ran and ran, and then he dried off for a bit and played in the playground side for the rest of the time. It was windy and hot but I had an umbrella and didn't get too hot.

I found some old pink yarn from when we didn't know if Caleb was going to be a girl or a boy, I decided to make an afghan. I have begun my search for the blanket I want to make. I have a pattern, I know I have LOTS of pattern books. I just might not have them here!?! I will have to find them I guess.

Mom is getting ready for her house swap at the end of this month. She asked to leave some wedding stuff here so she doesn't have to pack it away and she doesn't have to take it with her either. COOL! Mike is getting married in a month and a few days!!!!

Short Visit

I had a doctors visit this morning. It was short and painless. He measured my uterus, and listened to the baby's heart beat. And then I asked about a lamaze class and he said to call the hospital they have somke good ones. So I will do that soon I think.
And the doctor said he is using the 19th as a due date. He also said that was good because he will be out of town from the 24th till the 4th of september. SO I hope I go into labor before he leaves!

I went to the store this morning. I was soo hungry I overloaded on veggies and fruits. I also did this because my doctor asked me to stay away from carbs, potatoes and bread mainly. I do eat stone ground wheat bread so I do not think that is too bad. but I love mashed potatoes how am I supposed to stay away from those????? I will try my hardest but it will not be easy!

My three hour glucose test came back okay, not the best but within normal parameters. That is why he asked me to stay away from sweets on top of the carbs. The sweets won't be too hard. I did go and get some string cheese for when I feel like a quick snack. I love those things!

The church has a whole bunch of summer activities planned for the kids. I plan on taking Caleb to a lot of them. This week is a park with a water area. I think he will enjoy it a lot!! Next week I am looking forward to it is this country critter place that has lots of animals and rides and stuff! cool!

I signed Caleb up for a soccer class in July. This is just a beginner class where he learns the techniques and stuff. I hope to get him into the mansfield soccer league next year. We missed the deadline for this year.

Ultrasound

Well I went to my ultrasound. First before I left the doctors office called and said my oe hour glucose test was high. So they scheduled me for the three hour glucose test Thursday. I cannot remember if it was the same way with Caleb or not. I cannot believe that I have gestational diabetes.
So anyway I go to the ultrasound. The guy was wayyyy nicer then the one with Caleb. Hardly any pushing at all! Maybe the equipement has gotten better is all. SO he looked and got the pictures the doctor needed. The heart, the head, the spine, the bladder, the kidneys, the leg, and some other ones. Then he looked for gender. He said he could not be sure because the legs were pretty tightly closed, but he was 85% sure it was a girl. And then he looked at the measurments and said that it looked like my due date was August 19th. But he said that this late in the game there was a three week error range because of all the differing growth patterns. So I am not sure when the baby is due! Do I still tell people august 26th or August 19th? Well I looked at it and those two dates are only one week apart so I might stick with the original 26th. But then I might ask the doctor what they think.

Monday, June 2

Can't think of a title.

I can never think of good titles. I have an ultrasound tomorrow.

I can not find my son sunday shoes! Okay I went to walmart and found some 13s and they did not fit him for church the next day so I took them back, and I went to payless. I had them measure him and they said he was a 12 1/2!! What on earth? So I tried a 12 1/2. I could not get them on his feet!?! What is going on. I looked for a 13 or 13 1/2. They didn't have any sunday shoes in that size but they had a 1. So I tried them on. They are wayyyy big on hm. Like 2 inches in front of his toe but they slipped on fine and not to tight. So then I went to Target to see if they had anything better and his size. They had nothing! They did have some crown slip ons. They were 13 1/2 and I tried them on and they were really tight to get on! so what?? I just don't get it. SO I went back to payless and got the 1's and he will just have to deal for a while. I may have to take him to a fancy shoe store to get a REAL shoe fitting or something. I just hate paying $25 or more for a pair of shoes.
