Nothing Much!

Nothing much going on here.

Eric did get a job at Cedar Hill. He likes the school the area, and the BENEFITS! Oh they are so awesome! It will help a lot. Unfortunately he will not get hired this summer so we have to plan for income coming from somewhere. So Eric and I have decided I will get a job. Elizabeth is old enough. Eric can stay home and work on the house. I applied at Michaels today. We will see what happens.

Our garden is still doing fine.

I taught the releif society how to make homemade dishwasher detergent and baby wipes. They are wayyyy cheaper then the store stuff and just as good. Jeanne taught them how to make homemade laundry detergent. Same story it is MUCH cheaper and just as good. We had fun.

I got my tee-shirt, subway card, and baby shoe bronzing gift certificate this week from my sweeps. COOL! I redeemed my pace picante sauce free coupon earlier.

Eric leaves for his guys getaway tomorrow. And the kids and I go to moms for our sleep-over. FUN!

Easter Fun

Lizzie and she is wearing the dress mom and I made. It is all scrunched up but it is cute!
His Haul!
This is a little Lizzie dress I made. It needs some shoulder straps. I will add those later.
Okay, so I like to reserve Easter Sunday for the family and a spiritual lesson. I do not like how much the world has commercialized this most important of seasons. So I do not do an easter egg hunt on Sunday. I wait get all my stuff on clearance monday morning (IF I buy anything at all, this year I used what we had around the house) and have one monday instead! My kids don't notice the difference, and they learn about the Atonement on Sunday instead.

Catching Up!

Here are the pictures! I promised to post them and here they are.
Here is little Lizzie! Caleb took this picture. Pretty good!
These are my bagels I made. They turned out pretty good! Of course all of them got eaten the first day! So much for all my hard work!
And these are my pitas. They were so good with some chicken salad, and I even used tuna salad! These both will definitely be added to my repertoire. They were great successes.
I made pretzels today. I was not impresses with this recipe. This recipe calls for them to be boiled. I am not exactly sure why they are boiled but I think that is the way they do them commercially. But they do them much better commercially then I do. They kept falling apart and they didn't really taste like pretzels just bread or bagels cooked in the oven. I liked the taste of the bread to be sure, but it was WAYYYYY to much work for a loaf of bread tasting pretzels.
The garden is still alive! HOORAY!
And Rachel and Simon are coming for a visit!

OOOPPPPS! :)

We are sooo in trouble! We are doing really well on our garden this year. The tomatoes have not died, the peas are still growing, and we have some corn and cucumbers coming up. We have been really good about watering and even weeding a little bit ....until today. We woke up to the door bell, and Eric rushed out there to see who it was. It was our neighbor telling we were flooding his property next door. We suddenly remembered we had left the water on last night.... all night. We had sprinkled our crops to death! We are going to have a HUGE water bill this month! I hope and think it is not tooo much water. Maybe they will all survive.
I love my herb garden! I have some seedlings coming up and most of the plants are still alive. Although my sweet basil has dark spots on it for some reason. I hope it is not a disease that will kill my whole garden!
I have pictures of my pitas. I will get around to posting them sometime. I really need to make the pretzels I have the dough already made for. I would not want them to go to waste!
